About Autumn Moon Festival

The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is the Chinese harvest festival.  This festival is considered the second most important holiday after Chinese New Year.  One of the traditional stories of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is Chang‘e（嫦娥）going to the moon.  Some traditions include moon gazing and eating moon cakes (月餅).
